LAHORE: Online public transport service Uber Pakistan is now beefing up its customer security with a new feature the company is planning to add – the panic button.

In a meeting of the company team with th secretary, police and security officials held at the Punjab Information Technology Board, the company deliberated on the installation, workings and usage of a panic button on the Uber app for passenger safety and reporting.

The Chairman of Punjab IT Board, Mr. Umar Saif tweeted about the meeting on his official Twitter account:
