KARACHI: At least 20 shops that were locked and sealed by police as part of security measures for mourning processions of Muharram-ul-Haram, were plundered in Monday’s dark hours.Band of thieves broke into the foul-safe security overnight and made away with money worth over a million rupees from over 20 shops located in Karachi area Empress Market.The shopkeepers complained that no security arrangements are in place in the market.It should be mentioned here that the several larceny activities earlier also took place in Old City Area. –SAMAA
