SRINAGAR: Curfew continued to cripple life on 96th consecutive day in Occupied Kashmir where Indian authorities restricted Muslims from observing the Ashura.

Reports said restrictions have been placed on processions marking Ashura as part of a severe crackdown by Indian forces anxious to quell anti-India protests in the region.

Yesterday, scores of people were injured when Indian troops used brute force on Muharram mourners and anti-India demonstrations in Srinagar, Pulwama and other areas of the territory.

The puppet authorities continued to impose curfew and other restrictions in Srinagar and other areas, due to which Muharram procession could not be taken out in many areas of the occupied territory. – Samaa
