Car, coaster torched in Karachi

KARACHI: Unknown miscreants on Thursday set a coaster and a car on fire in separate incidents of violence in Karachi on Thursday afternoon, SAMAA reported.

Overall, six vehicles were torched by unknown persons over the last 24 hours in the city.

According to police, a car was torched in Landhi No 6 shortly after a coaster was set on fire on National High Away.

It is yet to be ascertained who is behind the latest spate of violence in Karachi.

This comes after banners were placed in different areas of Karachi, threatening MQM’s deserters.

MQM Pakistan has distanced itself from the banners and called up security agencies to unmask those behind the controversial banners.

IG Sindh AD Khawaja says that investigations have been launched to apprehend the miscreants, but he said that it was not clear which group was behind the move. - SAMAA
