ISLAMABAD: As heavy monsoon rain lashed Sindh, parts of KP and northern areas on Wednesday, the Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast more downpour during next 24 hours.
Met Office says the monsoon rains are likely to continue till Saturday.
It said expected heavy falls in Sindh, South Punjab, lower KP and Balochistan may generate flash flooding in the vulnerable Nullahs and streams.
Synoptic situation:
Monsoon currents are penetrating in southern parts while weak monsoon currents are also penetrating in upper parts of the country and likely to continue next 02 to 03 days.

Rain-thunderstorm (with isolated heavy falls) is expected at scattered places in Sindh (Mirpurkhas, Hyderabad, Sh.Benazirabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Karachi divisions), south Punjab (Multan, Bahawalpur, D.G Khan divisions), Lower KP (D.I Khan, Bannu divisions), eastern Balochistan (Zhob, Kalat, Sibbi, Naseerabad divisions).
Rain-thunderstorm is expected at few places in Sahiwal division, FATA and Kashmir. Hot and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country.
