KARACHI: The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Sindh, A.D. Khawaja, gave a cash prize of Rs. 50,000 and commendation certificate to a citizen, Yasir Jamil, for exhibiting bravery and courage. KARACHI: The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Sindh, A.D. Khawaja, gave a cash prize of Rs. 50,000 and commendation certificate to a citizen, Yasir Jamil, for exhibiting bravery and courage.

A police statement here on Wednesday said that Yasir while resisting during a dacoity attempt fired from his licenced pistol injuring two dacoits who expired later.

Rizvia police had recovered a pistol with three rounds, two mobile phones and Rs. 3,000 cash from the possession of dacoits.

The IGP appreciated the courage of the citizen and said that people should extend cooperation to the police in fight against
