ISLAMABAD: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Senator Mian Muhammad Ateeq on Friday appreciated the role of Rangers in restoring peace in Karachi.
Talking to media outside the Parliament House, he demanded that government should extend its powers to Rangers for maintaining law and orders situation in Karachi.
He said Sindh government was using delaying tactics in extending powers to Rangers which will ultimately sabotage the peace efforts.
He said the security force was busy in operation against the terrorists and delay in giving powers to Rangers will be deplorable.
He congratulated the PML-N on grand victory in Azad Jammu and Kashmir elections with two third majority and hoped that PML-N will further play its role to strengthening the democratic process. – APP
