Edhi’s eyes transplanted into blind persons

KARACHI: The two corneas donated by philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi after his death on Friday were successfully transplanted into two blind persons, according to his son, Faisal Edhi.

National hero Abdul Sattar Edhi, the founder of the country's largest welfare organization, had donated both his eyes after he died in Karachi.

“To fulfill his will, the eyes were donated and successfully transplanted into two blind persons,” Faisal Edhi told Samaa at his father’s Soyem held today in Karachi. - Samaa
