KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari nominated Sindh Finance Minister Murad Ali Shah as successor of outgoing Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Samaa reported.
The PPP leadership had decided to make changes in provincial cabinet including the chief minister in a meeting co-chaired by former President Asif Ali Zardari and PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
According to a statement issued by PPP media cell, Bilawal eulogized the services of outgoing Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah for the Party and the province, saying the party would continue to seek his guidance from his experience in the future also.
Syed Qaim Ali Shah called on the PPP Chairman at Bilawal House today.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that decision to replace an experienced and loyal party leader was very difficult one but sometimes the party has to take such decisions for political and strategic purposes in the collective interest of the party and the province.
On the occasion, outgoing chief minister said that PPP leadership has always taken wise decisions and he would continue to serve the Party.
Later on, the PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari met with the MPAs of every district separately to take them into confidence and seek their opinion about future strategy. –Samaa
