ISLAMABAD: Rain thundershower with strong gusty winds and dust-storm is expected at scattered places of southeast Balochistan, lower Sindh and FATA during the next 24 hours.

Synoptic Situation:

Moderate monsoon currents are continuously penetrating in southern parts and likely to continue during next 24 hours. Weak monsoon currents are also penetrating upper parts of the country and likely to continue during next 48 hours.

A westerly wave is present over Afghanistan and western border of Pakistan and likely to persist during next couple of days. Under the influence of these meteorological conditions weather will remain as following:

Next 24 hrs:

More rain-thundershower with isolated heavy falls accompanied by strong gusty winds is expected at scattered places in Balochistan (Quetta, Zhob, Kalat, Sibbi, Naseerabad, Makran divisions), Sindh (Sukkur, Larkana, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Shaheed Benazirabad, Karachi divisions).

Rain-thundershower is also expected at isolated places in Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur, Multan, D.G Khan divisions), KP (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan, Bannu, D.I. Khan divisions), FATA, Islamabad and Kashmir during (evening/night).

Rain/dust-thundershower accompanied by strong gusty winds is expected at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan, Kalat, Makran and Mirpurkhas divisions, FATA,Islamabad and Kashmir during (evening/night).

Past Weather:

Rain/dust-thundershower accompanied by strong gusty winds occurred at scattered places in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Kalat, Zhob divisions and FATA while at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur and Malakand divisions.
