LAHORE: Federal Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid Sunday said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has presented himself before the commission for probe into Panama leaks.

Addressing a press conference along with Khawaja Saad Rafique and Talal Chaudhry, Rashid said during the period of dictatorship, Nawaz Sharif's family was put on exile.

He said his elder son Hussain was confined in Jeddah and younger one Hassan in London and their passports were confiscated. They settled there and started their business.

The information minister said business of Sharif family was well established before the creation of Pakistan.

He said those who have black money are creating hurdles in the formation of the inquiry commission consisting of Supreme Court Judges.

Rashid said those questioning about the seed money for the business of Nawaz Sharif's sons are tempering the truth.

The Information Minister claimed forensic audit of assets of Sharif family has been done thrice during Musharraf era and twice during PPP era.

On the occasion, Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique criticized PTI senior leader Jehangir Tareen of having off shore holdings, calling him an “ATM of Imran Khan”.

He said that Tareen himself admitted that he had sent 52 crore rupees in 2014, asking Imran Khan to inform as to when his party leader would bring back his money to Pakistan.

The railways minister said that the PML-N government in Punjab fought dengue disease with courage, asking the PTI leadership to defeat mice in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. –Samaa
