LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami’s train march against corruption, spearheaded by Senator Sirajul Haq, left Lahore station for Rohri (Sindh), Samaa reported Thursday.

In the backdrop of Panama Leaks revelations, the ‘Corruption-Free Pakistan’ march was kicked off yesterday from Peshawar to mobilise masses against corrupt leaders.

The JI chief addressed party activists gathered at several railway stations along the route from Peshawar to Lahore. The train is scheduled to reach Karachi on May 27.

JI chief Senator Sirajul Haq said corruption and Pakistan cannot go hand in hand with each other.

He said people would head to Islamabad if the government did not pay heed to widespread corruption in the country.

He also criticised the ruling PML-N over its failure to curb drone attacks in Pakistan, describing the recent strike in Balochistan as ‘direct attack on Pakistan’s sovereignty’.

After leaving Lahore, the JI train reached Raiwind, Kot Radha Kishan, Pitoki, Okara, Sahiwal, Chicha Watni, Mian Chunnu and other railway stations where a large number of party workers welcomed the march.
