PESHAWAR: Jamaat-e-Islami launched a march Wednesday in Peshawar, calling its supporters to raise their voice against corruption in the country.

The train march began from Peshawar’s cantonment railway station Wednesday (today), and is scheduled to end on May 27 in Karachi.

Train March 1200 Psh 25-05

JI chief Siraj-ul-Haq is leading the march. He said corruption in the country is economic terrorism, terming it more damaging than extremism.

"None of the members of Jamaat-e-Islami have been named in Panama Papers,” the JI chief said. He meanwhile addressed a large public gathering when the march reached Rawalpindi station.

Similar gatherings are likely at different railway stations from Peshawar to Karachi.– SAMAA
