KARACHI: In a bizarre incident, two people suffered minor wounds on Monday after a detonator  presented in a local court as evidence exploded in Karachi, SAMAA reported.

The blast took place in Anti-Terrorism Court No 3.

According to our correspondent, the bomb was brought to the court by the police to present as evidence in a terrorism case.

The injured men identified as a cop and a court staffer were rushed to nearby hospital, where they are said to be stable.

IG police took notice of the incident and ordered a probe.

Meanwhile, a lawyer, who was present inside the court, told media that judge asked policeman if he knew how to detonate the bomb.

“Let me show you,” the cop replied and pulled the pin, resulting in an explosion.  – SAMAA
