SARGODHA: Three suspected women bombers were arrested and their suicide vests were recovered after Counter-Terror Department (CTD) conducted an overnight raid in Sargodha district of Punjab, SAMAA reported.

Acting on a tip-off, CTD personnel raided a house near Khushab Bypass, where suspected terrorists were sheltering.

The terrorists including women opened fire on the CTD men, leading to a shootout.

A source told SAMAA that four terrorists managed to escape during the gun battle and search was under way to apprehend them.

Three women were detained for questioning and two suicide vests and a hand grenade were recovered.
