KARACHI: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday rejected Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) leader Syed Mustafa Kamal’s application for registration of his newly formed political party, Samaa reported.
Former Karachi mayor Mustafa Kamal, who announced to part ways with Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) last month, named his party on 23 March and vowed to release its manifesto in near future.
Reports said Kamal formally filed an application to ECP for registration of his party; however, the ECP rejected his application on the grounds he has not disclosed PSP’s assets, constitution and manifesto.
ECP has informed him through a letter regarding submission of incomplete application and had directed Kamal to submit complete application as per party Act, according to our correspondent.
There is no information regarding party office bearers and party election, however, Mustafa Kamal name was mentioned as a Party Chairman in the application, reports said. – Samaa
