POKHARA: Pakistan’s special investigation team probing the terror attack on Indian airbase at Patkhankot would visit New Delhi on March 27, Indian External Minister Sushma Swaraj said Thursday.
“We discussed issues pertaining to Pathankot terror strike,” Sushma said in a joint press conference with Sartaj Aziz, Pakistan’s advisor to the prime minister on Foreign Affairs, after holding bilateral talks on the sidelines of Saarc meeting in Pokhara, Nepal.
On the occasion, Sartaj said that the meeting with his Indian counterpart was held in cordial atmosphere.
He said the terror attack at Pathankot airbase stalled talks between the two countries, but, he added new developments would yield positive results.
The advisor expressed hope the prime ministers of both Pakistan and India would meet in Washington this year.
Earlier, Sartaj delivered to Sushma a formal invitation letter from the Prime Minister of Pakistan to his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi for the 19th SAARC Summit to be held in Islamabad this year. –Samaa
