Pakistan condemns terrorist attacks in Brussels


ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Tuesday denounced multiple terrorist attacks in Brussels and expressed solidarity with the people of Belgium.

At least 32 people were killed and scores of others were wounded when four metro stations and airport were rocked by one after another blast in Brussels.

“We are deeply saddened to learn about the bomb explosions in Brussels at Zaventem Airport and Metro Stations which caused loss of precious lives,” a statement by the Foreign Office spokesman Nafees Zakaria said.

Pakistan sympathizes and offers its condolences to the bereaved families and the Belgian Government, he said, adding that people and the government of Pakistan pray for the speedy recovery of those injured in the terrorist attack.

Pakistan, he said, condemns this terrorist act in the strongest terms and expresses solidarity with the Government and the people of Belgium.  SAMAA
