KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) senior leader, Syed Ali Raza Abidi says return of former Karachi mayor Mustafa Kamal to Pakistan “is last card” by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Samaa reported Thursday.

“Parwa makawa kana (don’t worry man!)…this is the last and final card by Ch.Nisar. Bound to fail like the rest of them,” Abidi said on Twitter.

Meanwhile, speaking to Samaa, senior PML-N leader Talal Chaudhry rejected Abidi’s claim. “Chaudhry Nisar doesn’t believe in splitting political parties. He is working against crime and criminals… MQM should not blame others for its internal fragmentation,” he said.

Today, creating waves in Karachi’s politics, Mustafa Kamal and ex-member of MQM Rabita Committee, Anees Qaimkhani, arrived in Karachi after staying out from political arena for several years.

Mustafa Kamal, 44, has served as Karachi mayor from 2005 to 2010. He was elected as Senate member in 2011 but resigned from the seat and left Pakistan due to personal and family reasons in 2013.

Qaimkhani, a senior member of MQM’s coordination committee, had also left the country a couple of years back to stay away from politics. – Samaa
