KARACHI: Former Karachi mayor, Mustafa Kamal and ex-member of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Rabita Committee, Anees Qaimkhani, arrived in Karachi on Thursday after staying out from political arena for several years, Samaa reported Thursday.
According to our correspondent, the two ex-MQM leaders have announced to jointly address an ‘important’ press conference today at 3pm in city’s posh Defence area.

“They have invited media persons but no detail is available about subject of their news conference,” our correspondent said, adding the two MQM leaders have invited media in personal capacity as there was no announcement from MQM.
Mustafa Kamal, 44, has served as Karachi mayor from 2005 to 2010. He was elected as Senate member in 2011 but resigned from the seat and left Pakistan due to personal and family reasons in 2013.
Qaimkhani, a former member of MQM’s coordination committee, had also left the country a couple of years back to stay away from politics.
