First 2016 lunar eclipse today

KARACHI: The first penumbral lunar eclipse of the year 2016 will take place today (Wednesday). The eclipse will be globally visible but partially visible in Pakistan.

According to Met Department, eclipse will begin at 2:39 pm Pakistan Standard Time, culminate at 4:48 pm and end at 6:55 pm.

The central and western United States are better positioned to clearly watch the eclipse. Australia, Asia and the Pacific are other parts of the world that will be able to see this eclipse in which the moon will appear slightly dark. –SAMAA
