Lahore: More than 100 people, including women and children, fell ill after consuming rotten food at a wedding party in Lahore, Samaa reported Friday.

According to our correspondent, the incident occurred in Lahore’s Bilal Ganj area where wedding party members in a marriage hall were allegedly served contaminated food late on Thursday.

Two hours after having meal, health of nearly 100 people destabilized. They were rushed to city’s Mayo hospital.

Doctors said most of the affected people had complaints of vomiting, drowsiness, stomach pain and skin infection, adding that majority of the affectees are out of danger but three women are in critical condition.

“They will completely recover in three to five days,” a doctor spoke to Samaa. – Samaa
