Four banned outfit militants killed in Lasbela

QUETTA: Four alleged militants were killed in a gun battle with Frontier Corps Balochistan in Winder area of Lasbela district, on Tuesday.

AC spokesman said acting on a tip-off about the presence of alleged militants in Winder area, the security personnel launched search operation which led to exchange of fire.

“The armed men opened fire at FC personnel who retaliated against the attack,” he said, adding that as a result, four militants were killed.

The spokesman said the dead belonged to a banned militant organization.

He said weapons include a hand grenade and SMG were also recovered from their possession. “They were involved in heinous crimes including extortion, kidnapping people for ransom and attacking security forces,” he added. – APP
