President, PM, politicians condemn Karachi attack

nawaz & mamnoonISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif strongly condemned an attack on military personnel in Karachi that killed two soldiers on Tuesday.

The president and prime minister have expressed profound grief and sympathy with the families of the martyred jawans.

In a statement, the president said entire nation stands by the families of martyred soldiers whose sacrifices, he said, would not go to waste.

Expressing grief over the attack, the prime minister has ordered the authorities concerned to take immediate measures to arrest the perpetrators of the attack on the Pakistan Army.

“Such cowardly attacks could not weaken determination of our brave soldiers, we are proud of our jawans,” he was quoted as saying. The prime minister further said that peace and stability is the future of Karachi.

Meanwhile, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan, Muttahida Qaumi Movement, former president Asif Ali Zardari and other politicians have always expressed profound grief over the loss of life.

Two army soldiers, belonging to Military Police, lost their lives as masked gunmen sprayed their jeep with bullets on Karachi’s busiest M.A Jinnah Road just three days before the Local Government election in the metropolis. -Samaa
