ISLAMABAD: Former minister and senior politician from Balochistan Yar Muhammad Rind on Friday joined the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
He announced his decision at a press conference where PTI chairman Imran Khan and other leaders of the party were also present.
He said during the next elections the PTI would emerge as the strongest party in Balohchistan which he said was in the state of war.
Rind, who served as a minister for Food and Agriculture during Pervez Musharraf’s era, said he was subjected to vengeance by his political opponents.
Speaking on the occasion PTI chairman Imran Khan thanked Yar Muhammad Rind for joining the PTI. He said situation could not be improved in Balochistan with operations, instead the centre would have to provide the people of the province with their rights.
He lamented that reserves of natural gas were discovered in Balochistan decades ago but the province started getting the gas in 1990s.
Imran Khan also stressed the need for devolution of powers though local bodies elections in order to address miseries of the people.
