KARACHI: Two police constables were killed in what appears to be a targeted attack in Karachi on Tuesday, SAMAA reports.

The firing incident took place in Hyderi area of the city.

According to sources, unknown gunmen riding a motorcycle opened fire on constables at Hyderi, leaving them critically wounded.

They were rushed to a nearby hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

This is not the first incident of violence targeting police in Karachi. Many have fallen prey to a string of unexplained gun attacks in recent weeks.

Last week, two traffic police constables were also shot dead in Swabi district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. - SAMAA
