Tourists Trapped

There are reports that dozens of tourists have been stranded in Naran and Kaghan valleys following heavy snowfall that started on Saturday in the two tourists destinations.

According to Samaa nearly 150 vehicles are stuck in Naran and Kaghan where cold weather compelled the visitors to stay in hotels on exorbitant price.

Amjad Afridi, Advisor to Chief Minister KPK on tourism, spoke to Samaa and said heavy machinery had been dispatched to the area to clear roads.

“It will take a couple of hours,” he said, adding that steps were being taken to meet shortage of edible items.  – Samaa
