LAHORE: A resolution was submitted in Punjab Assembly condemning agitation by hardline Hindu activists against Pakistani and Indian cricket officials in Mumbai.

The resolution was filed in the Punjab Assembly secretariat by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) MPA Faiza Malik.

Besides condemning protest by Shiv Sena activists in Indian cricket board, the resolution demanded of Pakistan federal to take notice of the situation.

The resolution urged government to approach United Nations to get the hardline Hindu nationalist party declared a terrorist outfit.

Earlier today, around three dozen supporters of the Shiv Sena party barged into the headquarters of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and shouted anti-Pakistan slogans at its president, Shashank Manohar.

The attack disrupted planned talks between BCCI and PCB on resuming a cricket series between the two neighboring counties.

Shiv Sena fanatics threatened that they would not allow Pak-India cricket series for which BCCI has signed a MOU with PCB. – Samaa/Agencies
