PESHAWAR: The Frontier Corps (FC) has arrested 18 facilitators of terrorists and recovered huge quantity of foreign and local currency of worth 65 million besides recovered 2500 gram of gold and 1500 gram silver ornaments.
According a spokesman of the Frontier Corps, the operation was carried in Khyber Agency under national action plan.
He said that the FC Khyber Rifles arrested 18 facilitators of the terrorists and recovered about foreign and local currency of Rs 65 million.
The recovered currency including dollars, Riyal, Dirham and Pakistani rupees, he said. He said that the security forces also recovered 2500 gram gold and 1500 gram of silver from the possession of the accused, who were using the money for purchase of weapons and financing terror activities.
He further informed that the forces have three day operation under national action plan and arrested all 18 facilitators while they were crossing the Pak-Afghan border (Torkham).
About those arrested by Frontier Corps, the spokesman disclosed that most of them are Pakistanis and belong from Khyber Agency. – APP
