ISLAMABAD: A three-member Scotland Yard team arrived in Islamabad on Tuesday to question suspects being held in Pakistan in connection with the murder of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr. Imran Farooq in London.
Sources told SAMAA that UK investigators are expected to hold meetings with Interior Ministry and FIA officials.
This is the second visit of British police in Pakistan this year.
Earlier in June a three-member team grilled Moazzam Ali Khan, one of the accused, who allegedly facilitated visas the killers of Dr. Imran Farooq.
Dr. Imran Farooq, 50, a founding member of the MQM, was stabbed to death in Edgware, northwest London, as he returned home from work on September 16, 2010. – SAMAA
