KARACHI: Rangers have claimed to have killed four terrorists involved in murder of a lawyer in Karachi, Samaa reported Friday.
Advocate Syed Ali Hasnain Shah Bukhari, 35, was shot dead in March 2015 outside his residence in Korangi area.
According to Rangers’ spokesperson, the paramilitary troops carried out a ‘surgical operation’ on outskirts of Karachi along Northern Bypass on a tip off that ‘target-killers’ of the lawyer were hiding somewhere in the area.
“They opened fire on Rangers as soon as they saw the troops. After which, Rangers fired in retaliation and killed four of the attackers. One of our soldiers was injured in the shootout with terrorists,” Rangers said in a statement.
Moreover, Rangers searched several houses around Mukka Chowk near MQM headquarters in Azizabad in Friday’s dark hours.
