Pak-India border officials to meet Wednesday amid tension

ISLAMABAD: Despite tension at Line of Control and Sialkot Working Boundary, Pakistani and Indian border guards will meet on Wednesday in New Delhi, Samaa reported Tuesday.

According to Samaa correspondent, DG Punjab Rangers Major General Omar Farooq will lead Pakistan’s 16-member delegation. The Customs, FIA and Immigration officials are also included in the deputation.

Pakistan and India will discuss the incidents of firing at LoC and Working Boundary, smuggling, breaching of airspace and exchange of prisoners during five-day talks.

Pakistani delegation will leave for India tomorrow through the Wagah border, Lahore. – Samaa
