He said that all the political parties had reservations over the establishment of military courts, but it was considered necessary to take this step for cleansing the country of the menace of terrorism.

The Prime Minister said extraordinary steps were taken in extraordinary situation, adding that the higher judiciary has ratified this step of the Parliament.

“This decision will strengthen the ongoing war against terrorism and demoralize the terrorists,” he said.

He said the government had taken unanimous decisions on Operation Zarb-e-Azb, National Action Plan, Constitutional Amendments, China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and foreign affairs, which is promoting a new democratic culture in the country.

The Prime Minister said all the democratic forces would have to play their role in strengthening the Parliament, an appropriate forum to resolve all the problems.

Without mentioning the PTI sit-ins, the Prime Minister said when the Parliament is ignored and the issues are brought on the streets and crossings it affects the supremacy of the parliament.

He said the people are fed up of political wranglings and wanted to resolve their problems.

The PM announced that his ruling party would not support the resolutions of MQM and JUI-F seeking de-seating of 28 PTI lawmakers.

The PM appealed the two parties to withdraw their motions to avoid any political confrontation – Samaa
