ISLAMABAD: River Indus is in high flood at Chashma, Guddu and Sukkur, in medium flood at Kalabagh and Taunsa and in low flood at Tarbela.
According to Flood Forecasting Division of Met Department Lahore, the River Kabul is in medium flood at Nowshera while both River Jhelum and River Ravi are in low flood at Mangla and Sadhnai respectively.
According to Flood Warning Center Peshawar, River Indus at Khairabad, River Kabul at Warsak and Nowshera and River Adezai at Adezai Bridge are in medium flood this morning.
River Panjkora at Dir, River Khiali and River Naguman near Charsadda Road and River Shah Alam at Takhtabad are in low flood.
Chitral received rain last night causing heavy flood in River Chitral.
People were shifted to safer places. However, no report of any causality has so far been received.
Rests of the rivers in the province are flowing normal.
Sindh govt sets up 50 relief camps:
Sindh government has set up 50 relief and medical camps near the Bank of Indus River at Bakrani, Dhokri and Aqil Agani.
Fifteen government places have also been turned into emergency relief camps.
According to Division Commissioner Larkana, people of Katcha areas are being shifted to safer places.
They are also being provided food and other necessities of life.
Moreover, Pak Army is patrolling the sensitive areas along the Bank of River Indus including Aqil Agani Nusrat Loop bund, Moria Qadirpur, Torhi Ruk and Shaink Bund. – APP
