ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast widespread monsoon rains in Punjab, KPK and northwestern upper parts during next 24 hours, Samaa reported.
Met Office said rain coupled with thundershower is expected in Hazara, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Sahiwal divisions and Islamabad.
It said the monsoon showers are also likely at isolated places in, Malakand, Peshawar, Kohat, Bannu, Zhob, Kashmir, Sukkar, Larkana divisions, and upper FATA.
The weather will remain hot and humid elsewhere in the country, the PMD said, adding that monsoon rains will continue in different parts till July 10.
In Karachi, it was overcast sky with light winds making weather pleasant. Chief Meteorologist Ghulam Rasool, while speaking to Samaa, said that drizzle is likely in the city.
