ISLAMABAD: Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhry categorically said on Thursday that Indian intelligence agency RAW is behind recent incidents of terrorism in Pakistan, Samaa reported.

The key foreign ministry official’s statement came a day after terrorists left 45 members of Islamili community dead in gun attack on their bus in Karachi.

The carnage prompted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to arrive in Karachi and order army to kick start a ‘final round’ of anti-criminal operation in a decisive blow to terrorists infiltrating the metropolis.

Earlier this month, Pakistan military’s top brass also accused RAW of supporting terrorism in Pakistan, and took serious notice of RAW’s activities.

“We have conveyed it to India that RAW is instigating unrest in Pakistan. Evidences in this regard have been shared with India many times… Two accused captured in Karachi have confessed to getting training from RAW,” Aizaz Chaudhry told reporters after addressing a seminar here.

He said the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif also took up this matter with Afghan authorities during his recent visit to Kabul. “We have made it clear that their soil should not be used against us, whether be they Taliban or India,” he said.

Replying to a question, he said ISIS was a potential threat for the world, including Pakistan, and that Islamabad was taking measures to deal with the danger.

“Pakistan has been fighting this war over past 15 years. The national leadership is united that terrorist mindset should be eliminated,” he said.  – Samaa
