GUJRANWALA: Police officer, Shahzad Waraich, who is the central accused of Daska firing incident, was arrested and produced in an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Gujranwala, Samaa reported.
SHO Shahzad Waraich is accused of shooting two lawyers dead in Daska town of Punjab on Monday. The incident sparked countrywide protest of lawyers.
According to Samaa correspondent, Shahzad Waraich was produced in ATC today. The court sent him on a 12-day remand for investigation. He will be produced again on June 8.
On the other hand, life returned to normal in Daska after daylong violence in the town.
However, the legal fraternity continued agitation in Lahore and other cities, boycotting court proceedings and burning tyres on roads. – Samaa
