QUETTA: Three children died on Thursday in Qila Saifullah district of Quetta after they were allegedly administered substandard injections for measles prevention, Samaa reported.

According to parents, three children died after they were vaccinated for measles. Six more children are in critical condition who have been transferred to Civil Hospital Quetta for further treatment.

Medic staff, however, denied that the children were given substandard injections. Dr Qadeer, medical officer of the Children Ward, said these injections were administered to children of the whole area.

All the three children who died were of a same family. – Samaa
