ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Foreign Office on Wednesday welcomed the halt of Saudi-led coalition’s air strikes in Yemen.

Pakistan’s Foreign Office Spokesperson Tasneem Aslam, said in a statement, that the end of air strikes in Yemen will pave way for a political solution to curb the crisis in Middle-Eastern country.

“Pakistan welcomes Saudi Arabia's announcement of ending the air campaign in Yemen. This will pave the way for political solution,” Aslam said on Twitter.

Saudi-led coalition on Tuesday announced an end to the four-week long campaign of air strikes in Yemen saying the threat to Saudi Arabia and its neighbours had been removed.

The end to air strikes was also welcomed by the United States and Iran. – Samaa
