KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari sent his close aide to London seeking to stop the party’s disgruntled leader Zulfiqar Mirza from meeting Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
According to well-placed sources, Zardari sent Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani to London where, other party leaders Amin Fahim, Zulfiqar Mirza and Qadir Patel are already present.
Mirza is in London to meet PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to convey his reservations regarding bad governance in Sindh government and the role of Asif Ali Zardari.
In his recent interview to Samaa, Mirza had bitterly criticized the PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari.
“Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto did not sacrifice her life to help Mr Zardari become a billionaire,” Mirza said.
Except for Bilawal Bhutto, all the PPP leaders were on ‘daily wages’, said Mirza, adding no amount to ‘graft money’ could satisfy their ballooning bellies that were always stretching to accommodate more as if made of rubber.
Durrani would convey Zardari’s message to Amin Fahim to stop meeting of Mirza and Bilawal. He would also monitor the activities of Qadir Patel and Mirza in London. -Samaa
