ISLAMABAD: Pervaiz Rashid, Federal Information Minister, said Monday residents of Faisalabad have rejected Imran Khan’s call for a shutdown.

Addressing a press conference here, he said that the people of Faisalabad have condemned the call of a strike given by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

He blamed Imran Khan and his party workers for the violence and forceful closure of roads, schools and shops today.

Rashid said that Khan should have the moral courage to admit that law and order situation was created in Faisalabad on his orders.

“Instead of calling upon his workers to stay peaceful, he again threatened to create the same situation in Lahore as well,” he said, adding Khan was encouraging his workers to adopt violent tactics.

He again reiterated that Khan’s Plan C is to create anarchy in the country.

“Khan has become a champion of telling lies,” he said.

Rashid condemned violent incidents in Faisalabad earlier today and expressed his sorrow over the killing of one person.

He said the government would make efforts to arrest the culprit. – Samaa
