Ahsan Iqbal for adopting democratic behaviours

SIALKOT: Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has stressed the need of adopting the democratic behaviours and respecting each others mandate for becoming a civilized nation.

He said that everyone would have to come forward for playing a pivotal role in national development, progress and prosperity.

He stated this while addressing the participants of a ceremony held at District Bar Room Narowal under the auspices of Citizen Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) Narowal on Monday.

The minister said that there was a dire need of promotion of unity among all the segments of the society in the country.

He said that the construction of sport city project costing Rs 2.7 billion was in progress at Narowal for promoting indoor and outdoor games and sports activities in Narowal district.

He said that the government would soon introduce Police Reforms Package for promoting good policing in active cooperation with the society to remove all the hurdles from smooth way of provision of speedy justice to the needy.

The minister said that the time was ripe for all the political parties to be united by shunning their political differences in the larger national interest and should come forward to play a pivotal role for strengthening Pakistan politically and economically.

Ahsan revealed that the present government was striving to ensure the continuity of the democratic system in the country with the power of the masses, besides, strengthening all the national institutions.

He asked the local CPLC officials to ensure the early installation of the CCTV cameras at all the important places in Narowal city to secure the local traders and people.

Later, the minister visited the under completion project of Sports City and directed the officials concerned to ensure the its timely completion. – APP
