One killed, nine injured in Khuzdar blast

KHUZDAR: A man was killed and nine others were injured on Sunday in an explosion of grenade in Balochistan’s Khuzdar town, Samaa reported.

According to security officials, the blast took place near Arbab Abdul Rehman Complex which houses a private bus station and a hotel on the outskirts of Khuzdar town.

Nature of the blast could not be confirmed immediately; however, eyewitnesses said two persons riding a motorbike hurled a hand-grenade which landed near the building where passengers were waiting for buses and vans for travel to Karachi and other cities.

Ten people, including two children, were injured in the blast. The wounded were rushed to civil hospital Khuzdar where an injured breathed his last, police said.

Police and security forces cordoned off the area and started search operation to track down the attackers in the restive city of Balochistan. – Samaa
