India refuses to add two bogies to Thar Express

KARACHI: India demurred at Pakistani suggestion and declined to bump up the number of bogies of Jodhpur-Karachi Thar Express.

It should be mentioned here that the train departs Karachi every Friday night to arrive first in Khokhrapar in Pakistan on Saturday morning and then Munnabao in India. The train reaches its destination in Jodhpur on Saturday night.

Indian Railway refused to jack up the number of bogies of the international train, asserting that the increase is not possible under the current situation.

According to Pakistan Railway, at least 150 passengers can be benefited from the addition of two more bogies. –SAMAA
