Toxic liquor kills 18 in Karachi

KARACHI: At least eighteen people have died in last two days after drinking toxic liquor in different localities of the city.

According to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) sources, people died due to the toxic liquor as they were celebrating Eid by drinking it.

Dr Seemi Jamali, spokesperson of the JPMC, told media that the people were brought from Landhi, Korangi, Chanesar Goth and Sachal Goth and between 15-18 years of age.

“Two died this morning while fifteen others are in a critical condition at hospital”, she added. SAMAA
