MULTAN: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) show in Multan has set a worst example of mismanagement as at least seven people were dead and 40 others sustained injuries in a stampede at the public gathering on Friday.
According to Medical Superintendent of Nishtar Hospital, at least seven people died as a result of stampede, while 40 more were injured.
The sources said the mishap took place at eastern gate of Qasim Bagh stadium during the address of PTI Chairman Imran Khan.
Mismanagement has been witnessed since the start of PTI show. Also, Samaa anchorperson Gharidah Farooqui, present at the spot, reported that women reporters faced misconduct in PTI Multan jalsa.
Gharidah said that Imran Khan has admitted that the PTI failed to avoid mismanagement in Karachi, Lahore and Multan public gatherings.
“Worst mismanagement was witnessed in Multan’s Jalsa,” she quoted PTI leader Asad Umar as saying. -Samaa
