ISLAMABAD: Turning up the heat on Pakistan People's Party (PPP) for being in cahoots with ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's firebrand Imran Khan Wednesday declared a political war on the latter's Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, Samaa reported
“'Go Zardari Go', 'Go Nawaz Go', and 'Go Nizam (system) Go' will now be chanted in concert across Pakistan”, the PTI chief said addressing his workers at his party's sit-in in the legislative heart of federal capital.
Today, Khan, who has been engaged in a fierce verbal shootout with PPP leaders for quite a while now, was in a mood to give Zardari some a tough time.
“Zardari sahib, youths want to know the secret of your affluence. Tell them how to make money without having to work?”, Khan said firing back at the PPP leader.
Taking cue from Samaa TV report that unknown people are forcibly trying to close shops around Bagh-e-Jinnah –the venue of PPP's hyped-up October 18 rally in Karachi– a smiling Khan said”, Zardari sahib, reports are doing round that shopkeepers/hawkers/kiosk-owners are being threatened with dire consequences if they worked on the day of your rally.”
The PTI leader further said that PPP had also dragooned Pakistan Railways to run a special train service to transport Jialas from Punjab to Karachi to fill the rally venue.
He also demanded of the politicians to declare their local and foreign assets.
