PTI, political jirga begin negotiations

ISLAMABAD: The second round of talks between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and political jirga began on Wednesday in a bid to defuse political tension.

PTI’s team comprises of Jehangir Tarin, Shafqat Mahmood, Arif Alvi and Pervez Khattak while Jamaat-e-Islami chief Siraj ul Haq is leading the opposition members.

Earlier, the jirga met members of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) whose leader Raheeq Abbasi hinted at withdrawal of some of his demands. – SAMAA
