ISLAMABAD: Dozens of policemen fell ill from food poisoning Wednesday as unhygienic and stale food was served to them by local administration ahead of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Azadi March and PAT’s Inquilab March in Islamabad tomorrow.

Samaa reports that as many as 125 policemen from Azad Kashmir, who were posted along the Azadi March route, were hospitalized at Poly Clinic after they consumed unhygienic food.

These policemen complained about lack of facilities, saying they were served with stale food besides spending the whole night under the open sky.

Following the influx of policemen, the clinic administration said that there was no more space available for other patients at the emergency ward. – SAMAA
