ISLAMABAD/LAHORE: Weather of the upper parts of the country turned pleasant after rain/thundershower during the fresh monsoon spell, SAMAA reported Thursday.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) the intermittent rain spell, which started Thursday morning, contained in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Kashmir and other areas.
The PMD has forecast more rain in Kashmir, Islamabad, Hazara, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Sargodha divisions and at isolated places in Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Kohat and Bahawalpur cities during the next 24 hours.
It said the rain might also occur in Mirpurkhas, Hyderabad and Karachi divisions of Sindh, Kalat division of Balochistan and Malakand division of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, further breaking the heat wave and temperature in some parts dropped to 12 degree centigrade.
It said more monsoon rains are likely by end of this month. – SAMAA
